Karin Ahl

CEO

Before being appointed CEO of Netnod, Karin spent two years as Head of Netnod Time and Frequency where she oversaw the expansion of Netnod’s time services for public and commercial use.

Karin has more than 20 years of experience in the fixed telecom network industry and has significant expertise with policy-related topics both in Sweden and on a European level. Prior to Netnod, Karin’s roles included: President of FTTH Council Europe, an industry association focused on advancing full fibre-based connectivity to the whole of Europe; Head of Sales and Marketing for the Technology and Infrastructure specialist Rala AB; and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swedish Local Fibre Alliance. 

Karin holds a Master of Social and Political Science degree from the University of Linköping.

Sebastian Palmqvist

Chief Revenue Officer

Sebastian leads sales development at Netnod, bringing almost 20 years of experience within the telecom industry, including more than a decade in senior leadership roles. His career spans CEO positions at regional ISP C-Sam and the customer-centric challenger Ownit Broadband, as well as extensive experience in B2B sales at Com Hem and key leadership roles at Telia and Telenor.

Mattias Ahnberg

CIO

Mattias "Ahnberg" Ahnberg joined Netnod in January 2018. Prior to Netnod, he worked in the leadership team for Spotify IT where he focused his efforts on running the team responsible for the global deployment of Spotify’s internal networks and office infrastructure. 

Ahnberg has over 20 years experience in the technology and Internet industry where he has gained a deep technical knowledge of architecting, building and operating Unix-like systems as well as networking and security in large-scale complex environments. On top of the technical foundation, Ahnberg is passionate about change and working with improvements to help create high-performing functional teams as well as helping teams and individuals grow.

Mattias Karlsson

CTO

Mattias “Matte” Karlsson joined Netnod in 2016 as a Senior Network Architect. Before Mattias started at Netnod he worked over 15 years at Telenor/Bredbandsbolaget as a Senior Network Architect.

Mattias has participated in many large design and development projects in Sweden and on an international basis. As well as participating in many Telenor Group projects covering group strategy and architecture.

Kajsa Gustin

Kajsa Gustin

CHRO

With more than 20 years of experience in human resources, Kajsa has developed her expertise at the intersection of people strategy and business development. Over the past seven years, she has held senior HR leadership roles in both private and public sectors, focusing on leadership development, organisational design, and agile HR practices.

Kajsa has worked across diverse industries including tech, public health, FMCG, architecture, and manufacturing. Prior to joining Netnod, she contributed to scale-ups, mergers and acquisitions, and organisational transformations in Nordic and international contexts.

Kajsa holds two Master’s degrees from Uppsala University — in Education and Human Resource Development, and in Journalism

Sophia Jarl

Sophia Jarl

Head of Public and Industry Relations

Sophia Jarl is Head of Public and Industry Relations at Netnod. She has more than 15 years of experience in senior roles across the public sector, strategy, and communications.

Sophia previously served as Chair of the Municipal Executive Board in Norrköping and has worked with strategic issues at the national political level. She has also advised municipal leaders on governance, leadership, and long-term strategic planning.

She brings strong expertise in public sector governance and leadership, with extensive experience working at the intersection of politics, industry, and societal development.

She studied mathematics, chemistry, as well as environmental and sustainability studies at Uppsala University.
