Bredbandskollen

In cooperation with IIS, the Swedish TLD registry, Netnod colocates the Bredbandskollen Service at the Netnod IX.

The Bredbandskollen service measures the connection speed with which a user’s web browser can send and receive data, as an indication of real connection speed. The points serving as reference points, or measurement targets are the Bredbandskollen reference servers that are co-located at each of Netnod’s five national Internet Exchange points. Connection speed is measured from the consumer’s point of reference (home) to the closest national Internet Exchange point, which is considered to be a fair and neutral point of reference.
