IANA transition update

The IANA transition process is followed by a great interest of many people and causing a lot of discussions, as there are a lot of different opinions. IETF Chair and IANA Stewardship Transition Coordination Group member Jari Arkko posted an article where he offers a unique insight in the topic.

The transition of NTIA’s stewardship of IANA has been discussed extensively lately. The Coordination group was formed in July and an IANAPLAN working group has just been created. The IANA transition was also an important topic in the recent Internet Governance (IGF) meeting. IETF Chair Jari Arkko agrees that it’s easy to be confused, in his article he explains and provides his personal perspective on the topic. Read Jari Arkkos article at IETF’s homepage.
