Joint rootserver statement to ICANN

In 2009, Netnod (Autonomica) issued a joint statement to ICANN together with other root server operators

Netnod (Autonomica), which operates i.root-servers.net, one of the 13 root name servers deployed globally to manage traffic between computers connected to the Internet, has joined the RIPE NCC, operator of K-root, and WIDE Project, operator of M-root, in issuing a joint statement to ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.

The purpose of this statement, made in letters sent by each of the three organisations to Paul Twomey, President and CEO of ICANN, is to publicly document the continued commitment of the Autonomica, RIPE NCC and WIDE Project to coordinate their respective DNS root name service operations.
