Internet Routing Registry (IRR)
Having an IRR mirror decreases the reliance on sources of this data external to Sweden. The IRR is a globally distributed routing information database designed to maintain the stability and resilience of Internet-wide routing by sharing information between network operators. By publishing their routing policies and routing announcements to the IRR, operators allow their peers to automatically configure filters and implement desired policies automatically. These filters and policies help the Internet become more robust, and can help ease operations for providers. The Netnod RIPE IRR copy gives network operators a local copy of the registry, and provides additional resilience.
