Salvador has over 20 years of experience helping to develop Internet connectivity in Latin America, with special focus in Chile, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador. He worked 9 years at Ubiquiti Networks helping ISPs to navigate the challenges of bringing Internet connectivity to the unconnected in rural and poor areas, and facing the challenges himself in the ISPs he co-founded. In 2018 he started the first neutral Internet Exchange in Peru, now named Peru IX, with over 70 connected members and 1.2+ Tbps of traffic in Lima. In 2022 he founded a new project in Colombia, PIT Colombia, the first decentralized and neutral IXP in Colombia.
