Stockholm, Sweden - 31 May 2017 - Netnod, the leading Internet Exchange (IX) operator in the Nordics, today announced the technology partners for its new Optical IX service. Working together with ADVA Optical Networking and Arista, Netnod will launch an Optical IX platform that will revolutionise peering in the region. Customers will benefit from industry-leading connectivity options of up to 100Gbit/s, redundancy and control over their traffic.
During ICANN 58, Netnod organised a tour for selected customers. The tour included the Øresund bridge, between Sweden and Denmark, and one of the military-grade bunkers housing the Netnod Copenhagen IX.

Portlane (AS42708) has joined the Netnod Reach partner program to provide remote peering in Sweden. As an official Netnod Reach partner, Portlane can engage clients at any point of presence on its network and resell peering ports to Sweden’s leading Internet Exchange.
