Stockholm, Sweden - 6 November 2018 -  Netnod today announced that two new members have been appointed to the Netnod Board. Amanda Östlund, Spotify, and Carl Moberg, Cisco, were appointed to the Board by Netnod’s owners, the non-profit foundation TU-stiftelsen (Stiftelsen för Telematikens utveckling)
Netnod’s Technical Director, Patrik Fältström, will be attending the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Plenipotentiary taking place in Dubai from 29 October to 16 November.

On 23 April 2018, the Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security (MANRS) initiative announced the launch of a new IXP Programme. As founding participants of this new programme, Netnod will help drive a global initiative that tackles the most common threats to the Internet’s routing system.

On 30 January 2018, Netnod sent a response to the Swedish Government related to the proposed adjustment of the regulation related to the implementation of the Data Retention Directive in Sweden.
