Stockholm and Oslo - 5 April 2019 – Netnod, the leading provider of interconnection services in the Nordics, and NIX, the Norwegian Internet eXchange, today announced the launch of a new IX VLAN peering service connecting Norway to the rest of the Nordics. The new service, the first of its kind in the region, will provide the Nordics with quicker, cheaper and more effectively managed interconnections than ever before.
Stockholm, Sweden - 3 April 2019 – Netnod, the leading provider of interconnection services in the Nordics, today announced the launch of new services to transform the connectivity landscape in the region. New point-to-point transport and a VLAN solution interconnecting all Netnod Internet Exchanges (IXes) will provide the Nordics with quicker, cheaper and more effectively managed interconnections than ever before.
As one of the twelve operators of the DNS root service for the global Internet, Netnod is expected to adhere to the service expectations expressed by ICANN’s Root Server System Advisory Committee (RSSAC).
Together with industry partners working at the core of the Internet, Netnod has presented two reports to the Swedish government detailing the state of critical infrastructure in Sweden. Stockholm, 10 December 2018 - Netnod, the leading Internet exchange in the Nordics, and Conapto, the gateway to the Cloud, today announced a collaboration that extends Netnod’s infrastructure to Conapto’s Stockholm data centres.
On 6 April 2019 the GPS system, used by many organisations for critical infrastructure, will perform a rollover. The rollover is the result of a legacy GPS navigation message which gives a Week Number (WN) as a ten bit parameter. As a result, the WN parameter in the GPS navigation message needs to reset to zero every 1024 weeks.
By the end of H1 2019, Netnod will deploy a new route server platform at the Netnod Stockholm and Copenhagen IXes.
